William “Perry” Butler, Sr., 71, Warrenton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest at his residence on May 14, 2022.
Perry was born in Chamblee, Georgia on April 25, 1951, grew up in Tucker, Georgia, graduated from Tucker High School, moved to McBean, worked at Augusta Newsprint, and retired after 43 years. He was Baptist by faith, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, loved the mountains, and especially love hunting and fishing with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Frank Butler, Sr. and Nellie Ruth Smith Butler. Mr. Butler’s survivors include his wife of 28 years, Dianne Lampp Butler; his son, William Perry Butler, Jr. (Denise) of Augusta; his daughters, Tonya Shaw (Adrien) of Graniteville and Brandi Spiva (Chad) of McDonough; his brother, Danny Butler (Darlene) of Oxford; his sister, Nita Mosteller (Bud) of Oxford; his grandchildren, Austin Shaw, Brennon Shaw, Abby Shaw, Chandler Butler, Tyler Butler and Jaina Spiva; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Folan, Noah Folan and Bleighton Shaw.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Barry Clanton, officiating. Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
