William "Bill" Phillip Bowman

Mr. William “Bill” Phillip Bowman, 74, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2022, at his residence.

Bill was born in Bedford, Indiana on November 15, 1947, grew up in Indiana, resided in Bonita Springs, Florida for 40 years until he relocated to the Lake Oconee area 16 years ago, and has resided in Thomson, Georgia for the last 5 years.  Mr. Bowman was a member of the Madison Seven Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed music, bowling and watching country western movies.  Bill especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas S. Bowman and Barbara Lyons Bowman; his brother, Thomas Bowman; and his sister, Linda Bowman Swann.  His survivors include his wife of 48 years, Delores Ann Bowman; his mother-in-law, Donna Cook of White Pigeon, Michigan; his brother-in-law, Raymond Swann of Thomson; his nephews, Mark Swann (Tina), Scott Swann (Debra) and Stephen Swann (Cheryl) of Thomson; his niece, Collin Bowman Woodall; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery, Thomson, Georgia, being officiated by Dr. David Lambert.  The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
