Mr. Warren Flowers, 86 of Savannah Lakes Village, McCormick, SC entered
into rest on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
There will be a private ceremony at the Columbarium at the Lutheran Church By
The Lake, McCormick.
Mr. Flowers, son of the late Jesse and Mary Irene O’Nan Flowers, was a native of
Paducah, Ky. He graduated from Owensboro Senior High School in 1951.
Following high school, he served two years in the US Army during the Korean
Conflict. Afterwards, he graduated from University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1960. During his career, he worked
with General Electric, NASA and retired from Southern Company. He has been a
resident of Savannah Lakes Village for the past twenty years and enjoyed golf,
fishing, card playing and competitive tennis matches. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Miller Flowers in June of 2017 and his
sister Doris Robertson.
He will be greatly missed by his sons, Michael Flowers of Minneapolis, MN.,
Matthew Flowers and wife Denise of Chickaloon, AK; daughter, Melissa Smith and
husband Barry of Farmington, NM; sisters, Eloise Maloney of Madisonville, KY,
Phyllis Flowers and Nancy Flowers of Paducah, KY; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-
grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in the name of
Warren Flowers to one of the following: American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's
Association, or Hustle Kindness by Peach's Neet Feet.
