Timothy Wayne “Tim” Williford, 66, Evans, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on May 31, 2022.
Mr. Williford grew up in Warren County, GA and was the son of the late EB Williford and the late Margie Reese Williford. He graduated from Warrenton High School and later received a Bachelor’s Degree of Criminal Justice/Police Administration from Parks College. Mr. Williford served in the U. S. Army as a Drill Instructor and retired as a First Sergeant of the Military Police after 22 years. He also worked as a Federal Police Officer serving as Deputy Chief at the VA Hospital and retired from the VA Hospital after 20 years. Mr. Williford was a faithful and devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and head Usher. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sandra Jones Williford; son, Timothy “David” Williford (Crystal); daughter, Ashley Fuller (Jonathan); brothers, Jimmy Williford (Kathy), Billy Williford (Shannon); sisters, Renee Wilson and Vickie Davis (John); and grandchildren, Emory Callahan and Ellie Callahan.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church 4594 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907 with Rev. Matthew Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11am until the hour of the funeral. Interment will immediately follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with military honors. Pallbearers will be: Bart Hankal, Paul Andrews, Jimmy Cartledge, Greg Slagle, Larry Cheek, Ronnie Morris, Kenny Phillips and Jimmy Brooks.
