Mrs. Sherry Jane Morris, 58 of Washington Hwy., Lincolnton, GA entered into rest on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Morris, daughter of the late Winfred and Rosa Lee Bolton Bentley, was born on January 5th, 1963 in Wilkes County, Ga. She grew up in Lincolnton and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1981. For over 27 years, she served as the Principal Secretary and Bookkeeper at Riverside Middle School in Columbia County.
Sherry was blessed with many God-given talents that she used to serve her community in every aspect of her life. Her crafty intuition enabled her to handle any situation that was presented to her. She aided as costume and set designer for the Lincoln County Musical Theatre Program. Over the years, Sherry served in multiple churches across the CSRA including Fellowship Baptist, Baker Woods Baptist, and Loco Baptist Church. Most recently, at First Assembly of God in Lincolnton she led middle school aged girls through the Impact Program and directed the Kids Choir for many young boys and girls.
If Sherry was not working or serving her church, she was surrounded by her friends and family at her home. Known as ‘Ma Sherry’ to her seven grandchildren, she was always working on a crafty project or baking something sweet to share with everyone. Her radiant smile greeted everyone she encountered and will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her including husband, Walter “Hal” Morris, Jr; sons, Walter “Trey” Morris, III, and wife Amanda, Daniel Calhoun Morris and wife Sadie, and Steven Britt Morris and wife Amber; grandchildren, Savanah Jones, Abagaile Jones, Avary Rose Morris, Levi Morris, Madelynn Morris, June Morris, and Walt Morris; and nephew, D.J. Bentley all of Lincolnton; mother-in-law, Mrs. Betty Morris Sisson.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 3pm at First Assembly of God, Lincolnton with interment following at Loco Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the hour of the service on Sunday in the church sanctuary.
Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Sherry Morris.
