Sara Land Wilkinson, 90, Thomson, Georgia – Entered into eternal rest on March 17, 2022 at Westwood Nursing Facility, Evans, Georgia. 

Sara was born in Bastonville, Glascock County, Georgia on September 19, 1931, grew up there, graduated from Gibson High School and lived most of her life in Thomson, Georgia.  She was Baptist by faith and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.  Sara enjoyed children, cooking, reading and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Wilkinson; her parents, Marvin Land and Dovie Peeler Land; her brother, Floyd Land, and her nephew, Allen Land.  She is survived by her sister-in-laws, Delores Wilkinson and Margaret Land; her Nephew, Brad Ewest (Melissa), Ree Smallwood (Richard), and Terri Blackburn (George); her nephew Keith Wilkinson (Karen), and many great and great nieces and nephews.

Her Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church, Thomson, Georgia and her Funeral Service, being officiated by Rev. Butch Baston, will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church with the interment at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens following the service.  Pallbearers for the service are Tanner Land, Jordan Land, Gage Ewest, Keith Wilkinson, Zack Smallwood and Brad Ewest. The family is receiving friends this afternoon and evening at the home of Jon and Jenifer Hammond, 254 Brentwood Dr., Thomson, GA  30824.  They would also like to thank John, Regina and Shawn Stribel and Westwood Nursing Facility for the loving care of Sara Wilkinson.
