Sandra Francis Obituary

Thomson, GA. – Ms. Sandra Gayle Francis, 72, entered into rest February 20, 2018.

Ms. Francis grew up in Columbia County, Georgia, worked for many years at the Thomson Company, graduated from Augusta Technical College with a certificate in Business Applications and worked as a Medical Records Clerk for Augusta Hills Nursing Home. She attended Powell Baptist Church for many years and was a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church. Ms. Francis loved her family and enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her daughter, Esther Hobbs (Hal) of Dearing, GA; sister, Vickie Crawford of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Amber Greene (Adam) and Caitlin Wells; great grandchildren Alden Greene and Allie Greene; nephews Shane Taylor (Nikki); and great nephews, Braxton, Gage, and Gavin Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at 3 o’clock, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Powell Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Adkins and Rev. Jim Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons or the American Cancer Society.
