Sally Prickett Ogletree, 70, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2022, at her residence.
Sally was born in Jefferson County, Georgia on August 7, 1951, attended grade school in Matthews, Georgia and was a homemaker for her family. She was Christian by faith and active in Christian service at Brushy Creek Christian Church. Sally enjoyed gardening, yardwork and just being outside. Her granddaughter, Sophia, was the apple of her eye and she just loved spending time with her and her family and friends.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Julian D. Ogletree; her parents, Nina Prickett and Lee Prickett; her brothers, Eddie Prickett, Bobby Prickett, Wayne Prickett and Bill Prickett. Her survivors include her son David Ogletree; her granddaughter, Sophia Ogletree; her former daughter-in-law Alisha Rabun (Jefferson); her brothers, Donnie Prickett (Sue), Ronnie Prickett (Lisa), Gene Prickett and Lewis Prickett; her sister-in-law, Betty Prickett (Bobby); her niece, Paula Utley (Michael); her sister-in-law, Margie Wilson (Charles); her brother-in-law, Joe Ogletree (Belva), many nieces and nephews, her best friend of 40 years, Jean Burke, and special friend , Steve Kennerly.
The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home. Sally’s Funeral Service, will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia, being officiated by Pastor Robbie McMillian, with her interment to follow at Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are Benji Prickett, Corey Utley, Kevin Herndon, Michael Utley, Jamie Prickett and Daniel Prickett.
