Ruby Edna Cato Miles

Mrs. Ruby Cato Miles, 92, of Dearing, Georgia, entered into rest on June 3, 2021.

Mrs. Miles was born in Raytown, Georgia on September 23, 1928, grew up in McDuffie County and lived in Dearing, Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late Willis Cato and Vandella Cato.  She was Baptist by faith and a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church.  Mrs. Miles was a seamstress by profession and worked at the Thomson Company, Harlem Plant for 30 years until she retired.  She loved to cook and bake, loved watching old western movies and shows on television, loved the family barbeques and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by husband, Leonard Miles; her parents, Willis Cato and Vandella Cato; her sons, Julian Miles and Ronnie Miles; her daughters, Betty Jean Love, Faye Miles, Hazel Miles and Baby Miles; and all her brothers and sisters.  Her survivors include, her son Leonard Eugene “Gene” Miles (Camille); her daughters, Vivian Webb (Joseph), Linda Caines, Frances Miles; and eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Washington Heights Baptist Church, Thomson, Georgia with the Funeral Service beginning at 3:00 p.m. and the interment following at the Dearing Cemetery.  Bro.
