Rogers Begley

Mr. Rogers Begley, 85 of Danburg Rd., Tignall, Ga. entered into rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center.

Mr. Begley, son of the late George and Laura Sheppard Begley was a native of Dry Hill, Kentucky where he grew up. When he became grown, he moved to Florida and was employed by Pompano Roofing for many years. In 1987, he moved to Lincoln County after purchasing the Fishing Creek Bait and Tackle which he operated until 2002. For the past 25 years, he has been active in the Midway Fire Dept. and also volunteered at Danburg Fire Dept. In addition, he attended Fishing Creek Baptist and Danburg Baptist Church and enjoyed keeping his lawn, playing guitar and his guns. His wife, Betty Jo Begley preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughters, Constance “Connie” Williams (Jimmy Mullins) of Girard, Ga., Sherri Leigh Begley (Gene Lamb) of Tignall, Ga; sons, Shannon Begley and Shane Begley both of Tignall; grandchildren, Bobby Begley, Roger Begley, Sharee Lasher and husband Aaron, Nicole Marie Williams(Todd Dvoretz), James Mullins, and Mason Lamb; great- grandchildren, Dylan Collins, David Ross Lasher, William Tyler Lasher, and Grayson Rogers.

A memorial celebration will be held later.
