Roger “Buck” Boggs
Thomson, GA- Mr. Roger “Buck” Boggs, 71, of Salem Road, entered into rest August 27, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Boggs, was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma, but has lived in several places recently making Thomson his home. He was the son of the late Park Wyatt Boggs and Audie Adams Boggs. Buck worked for 10 years as a Police Officer before making truck driving his passion and retiring from logistics with SRS. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Mr. Boggs was a hardworking southern gentleman that loved his “girls” and anything pertaining to Cowboying and ranching. The family said they will cherish many things Buck instilled in them, but two quotes he always said will stick with them, “Plan your work and work your plan” and “All you have is your word and your name.”
Survivors include his loving companion, Pam Burnley, Thomson; two daughters, Jennifer Mims (Lee), Thomson and Holly Lewis (Kirk), N. Augusta, S.C.; brother, Dan Boggs , California; two sisters, Karen Fenstermaker and Donna Hawkins; six grandchildren, Morgan Mims, Robin Mims, Caleb Mims, Cole Lewis, Luke Lewis and Kade Lewis.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
