Mrs. Rebecca Ann “Becky” Brown Dixon, 71, of S. Pope Street, Tignall, wife of 41 years to George Duncan Dixon, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at her mother-in-law’s residence in Elberton.
Becky was born in Washington on May 2, 1948, daughter of the William Elmer Brown and Dulcie McKinnon Brown. She was a member of Independence United Methodist Church and Homemakers in Tignall. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, George, of Elberton;… children: William and Kathy Johnson of Tignall and Debra Johnson of Lincolnton; siblings: Cliffy and Gwinn Ware of Evans and David and Maryann Brown of Franklin, NC; three grandchildren: Amber and Mitch Langham, Rhodes Johnson, and Lauren Johnson; great-grandson, Riley Rogers; mother-in-law, Julia Smith Dixon; siblings-in-law: Jimmie Bell, Oscar Dixon, and Cyndie Blanford; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Randall Jason Johnson; and sister, Pat Funkhouser.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, March 11, at 11 o’clock at Falling Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the residence of Julia Dixon, Indian Hill Road, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10.
