Reba Chalker Allen, 87, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2023.
Reba was born in Warren County on January 18, 1936, grew up in Warren County until she left home, went to work, married and started her family. She was Baptist by faith, a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and served God and her family well. Reba worked in the payroll department for Georgia TASC. She loved Sonic, word searches, fishing and especially loved her family and her grandchildren.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband, E. P. Allen; her parents, Joe Lawrence Chalker and Nell Johnson Chalker; her daughter-in-law, Libby Allen; her brother, Gene L. Chalker; her sister, Edith Langford and her granddaughter, Catherine Allen. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Rusty Allen; her daughter, Vicki Jones (Wayne); her brother Wayne Chalker; her sister-in-law, Stella Chalker; her grandchildren, Kelly Poss (Guy), Lauren Jenkins (Bradley) and Molly Ansley (Tab); her great grandchildren, Ethan P. Ansley, Chloe Poss, Carson Ansley, Josie Jenkins and Bonnie Kate Jenkins and several nieces and nephews.
Her Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia, and her Funeral Service, being officiated by Rev. Larron Pilgrim, will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the interment following at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, Georgia. Pallbearers for the service are Tab Ansley, Guy Poss, Ethan Ansley, Carson Ansley, Chloe Poss, Josie Jenkins, Bonnie Kate Jenkins and Bradley Jenkins.
