Percy Hines was born on April 22, 1977 in Augusta, GA. He transitioned from this life of 44 years on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.
Percy attended Lincoln County public schools in Lincolnton, GA. Following High School, Percy continued his education career at Job Corps and thereafter he attended University of Phoenix and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He was employed at Electrolux in Anderson, SC.
Percy was a man of many talents and hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, acting, singing, and all genres of music. Percy especially enjoyed counseling and offering words of inspiration to others as well as spending time with family and friends. Percy was also a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Percy was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter Hines and Genetta Hines; and his great-grandmother Camille Leverette.
Percy will always be remembered and cherished by his mother Gloria Hines of Lincolnton, GA; two loving fathers Jimmy Tennant (Madeline) of Charlotte, NC and Charlie Williams of Lincolnton, GA; two sons Devin Harrison and Tracus Hines of McCormick, SC; two daughters Kyra Hines of McCormick, SC and Arianna Hines of Broadway, NC; grandmother Nonie Mae Williams; sister Felita Paschall; uncle Tracy Hines (Eva); niece Faith Paschall all of Lincolnton, GA; and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1 pm at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery with repast immediately following at The Lincoln Center.
