Naomi Usry Buffington

Mrs. Naomi Usry Buffington, 86, of Warrenton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on November 3, 2021.

Mrs. Buffington was born in Jefferson County, Georgia on July 11, 1935, grew up in Gibson Georgia and lived there until she married Mr. Buffington and they made their home in Warrenton.  She was the daughter of the late John William Usry and Bular Mae Beckworth Usry of Avera, Georgia.  Naomi was a weaver instructor at Kingsley Plant until she retired at the age of 65.  She enjoyed baking, working with flowers and quilting.  Mrs. Buffington loved people and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Buffington was preceded in death by her parents, John William Usry and Bular Mae Beckworth Usry of Avera, Georgia; her husband, Benjamin Eugene Buffington of 67 years; and her brothers, John Usry, Reginald Tip Usry, Charles William Usry and Billy Usry.  She is survived by her daughters, Donna Sullivan of Warrenton, Georgia and Darlene Banks (James) of Warrenton, Georgia; her brothers Jimmie Joe Usry (Wanna) of North Augusta, Ronnie Usry (Bobbie) of Evans, Georgia and Ricky Usry (Dale) of North Augusta; and her grandchildren, Paige Sullivan of Warrenton, Georgia, Patrick Banks (Elizabeth) of Mitchell, Georgia and Sherry Howard (Jeremy) of Waynesboro, Georgia; and great grandchildren, Jordan Howard and Brooke Howard.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at  Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larron Pilgrim, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
