Obituary
Thomson, GA - Mrs. Mary Frances Page Clements of Unionville, NY, entered into rest on October 28, 2023, at the Belle Reve Senior Living in Milford, PA. She was the beloved wife of John S. Clements, Jr. for 43 years, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter Mary Page Clements, Unionville, NY and son, John Sherwood Clements, III, Newport, VA.
Mrs. Clements was born and raised in Dublin and lived in the Thomson and Augusta areas for over 60 years. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in education and library science. She was a retired school teacher and media specialist of the McDuffie County School System, having taught for over 28 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Thomson, GA.
Upon retirement, Mrs. Clements continued to be a strong participant in her community whether it was by being an active member of several book clubs or as events coordinator at the Electric Theatre Company in Scranton, PA.
She was a world traveler, an avid reader and was devoted to her family and many friends. All will miss her warmth, energy and wit.
Graveside services will be held on December 20, 2023, at 2:00 p.m at the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Bro. Charles Broome officiating. A visitation on the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens’ grounds will be held afterwards. If raining, we will return to Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, GA. For those wishing to ride in the procession, please arrive at the funeral home by 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America and/or the World Literacy Foundation.
