Mr. Donald Usry, 80, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on October 3, 2022.
Donald was born in Gibson, Georgia on July 10, 1942, grew up in Gibson, Georgia, moved to the Thomson area at the age of 18. He retired from Knox & Rivers Construction where he worked as an equipment operator in the asphalt plant for around 40 years. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses, was an absolute animal lover and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Usry and Kate Daniels Usry; his brothers, Donald Alvin Usry and Ronald Usry and his sister, Mary Elizabeth Usry Faglier. His survivors include his devoted wife of 39 years, Sybil Webb Usry; his son, Jesse Savage (Debra); his daughters, Kathy Guin and Lisa Banister (John); his grandchildren, Nicole Evans (Michael), Will Guin, Taylor Guin, Holley Banister, Sonny Savage and Lacey Morrison and his great grandchild, Marley Evans.
His Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia, and his Funeral Service, being officiated by Rev. Chris Smith, will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the interment following at Gibson Church of God Cemetery, 2502 Bastonville Road, Gibson, Georgia 30810.
