Mrs. Mary Frances Johnson McCord, 91, Norwood, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2022.

Mary Frances was born in Norwood, Georgia at home on August 19, 1930, grew up in Cadley, Georgia and lived most of her life in Warren County, Georgia.  Following high school, she worked for Southern Bell in Atlanta and worked for Knox Rivers for many years until she retired.  She was Methodist by faith and a member of Norwood Methodist Church.  Mary Frances loved flowers, enjoyed making jewelry, coloring and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pryce “Pete” McCord and her parents, Stanford Johnson and Eula Berry Johnson.  Mary Frances’ survivors include her sons, Terry McCord (Kim) and David McCord (Pam); her brother James Johnson (Martha); and her grandchildren, Dallas Yates and Katherine Marsh (Dylan).

Her Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, and her Funeral Service, being officiated by Bro. Jimmy Waller, will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia with the interment at Scruggs Cemetery, Norwood, Georgia.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
