Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson Parris, 79, of Wagon Wheel Rd., Warrenton, Georgia entered into eternal rest on November 6, 2021.
Mary Ann grew up in Thomson, GA and was the daughter of the late Olin Johnson and the late Mary Easler Johnson. After finishing High School in Thomson she moved to Fayetteville, NC. In 1976 Mary Ann moved back to Thomson and she graded peaches for the local peach farm. After a while she decided to begin a career in food service and spent six years at Thomson High School as assistant dietary manager. In 1984 she began working for Thomson Manor where she supervised a kitchen staff and monitored diets for 150 residents until her retirement. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, flower gardening, fishing and cooking meals for her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Edward Josey and daughter, Debra Ann Josey Luke.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Parris; son, Terry Josey and wife, Marchelle; grandchildren, Casey Luke, Evan Luke ( Tawny), Jennifer Pulliam (Lance); and great grandchildren, Autumn Grace Pulliam, Bobby Lee Jenkins, Madison Jenkins, Brooklyn Luke, and Leyannah Bosselman.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
