Mary Wideman Davis

Mrs. Mary Catherine Davis, 70 of Baker Davis Rd., Lincolnton entered into rest on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her residence. A private ceremony will be held due to COVID-19. Mrs. Davis, daughter of the late Watson and Susie Truitt Wideman, was born and raised in Wilkes County and graduated from Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School in 1967. She spent most of her life in Lincoln County, was a seamstress and was employed by Twilight and FDB of Lincolnton. Mary loved spending time with family and always hated to see them leave. She and her husband, Perry loved visiting relatives and friends on Sundays. Her infectious smile and laugh was familiar to anyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Perry Davis; daughters, Angie D. Strother and husband Barry of Washington, Durinda Davis of Lincolnton; brother, Thomas “Buddy” Wideman of Rayle; sisters, Allene Moon of Washington and Annie Lee Fleming of Rayle; grandchildren, Gabriel Strother and wife Emily Anna, Mary Katherine Strother and Emily Strother; great- grandson, Luke Strother.
