Lynn S. Purvis, 63, Stapleton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest at Doctor’s Hospital on May 15, 2022.
Lynn was born in Thomson, Georgia on August 8, 1958, grew up in Warren County, graduated from Glascock County High School and lived most of her life in Warren County, Georgia. She worked with the Warren County Extension Service with the 4-H Program for many years before driving for B & H Transfer (where she was known as “Dusty”) and retired with disability in 2001. She was Baptist by faith, was an outgoing person and loved meeting people. Lynn loved hunting, fishing, and going to estate sales and flea markets and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Mac Stowe and Lynette Frazier Stowe. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gibson Randall Purvis; her daughters, Brandi Englett (Evan) and Candace Stewart (Lionel); her brothers, Mike Stowe (Cheryl) and Dewayne Stowe (Susan); her sister, Joyce Stowe; and her granddaughter, Autumn Stewart.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, being officiated by Rev. Mike Sutphin. The interment at Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers for the services are Bobby Mauck, Jason Bazemore, Evan Englett, Dick Peebles, Allen Holley and Brice Mock.
