Lois (Barwick) Fizer

Mrs. J. Lois Fizer, 87 of White Rock Rd., Lincolnton passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Fizer, daughter of the late Morris T. and Sarah Elizabeth Flanders Barwick was born on June 9, 1935 in Emanuel County, Georgia.

She retired from Royal Manufacturing, and was  a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, and her first husband, Lester Bentley, she was also preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Debra K. Bentley; brothers, Cephas Barwick, Charles E. Barwick and Donald Barwick; sisters, Nan Lou Mosley, Ruby Barwick Brantley, Mary Barwick Smith, Almedia Barwick Schunk and Martha Barwick Blizzard.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Fizer; stepchildren, Cathy Chastain and husband Barry of Lincolnton, Wayne Bentley and wife Vickie of Thomson; caregiver, Jake Chastain of Lincolnton and stepson, Alan Fizer, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 2 o’clock p.m. at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.  The visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service in the church sanctuary.
