Linda “Miss Sue” Simons, 77, Norwood, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on November 15, 2022. 

Sue was born in Warren County, Georgia on April 27, 1945 and lived much of her life there.  She began her work career at Ft. Gordon then worked in management for U-Haul for 25 years and grew up farming with her family.  After retiring from U-Haul, she worked at the Warrenton Library for many years.  She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.  Sue enjoyed farming, being outdoors, horseback riding, animals and especially loved spending time with friends and family.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Garry Simons; her parents, William Richard Duckworth and Mariana Williamson Duckworth; her sisters, Richie Duckworth and Peggy Tiller.  Her survivors include her daughter, Lisa Gill; her brother, Gregg Duckworth (Bonnie); her brothers-in-law, Kendall Simons and Eric Tiller; sister-in-law, Kay Wood, numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friend that was like a sister to her, Marcia Geraci.

The family will receive friends at visitation being held at Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from Noon until 1:00 p.m. with a Graveside Service following at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, Georgia at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Kevin Jones will be officiating.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
