Lem Melvin "Spud" Dove

Mr. Lem Melvin “Spud” Dove, 70, of Elberton Road, Tignall entered into rest on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Augusta University, Augusta, Georgia.

Mr. Dove, son of the late William Fulton Dove and Frances Lela Fain Dove, was born in Wilkes County and was a lifelong resident there. Throughout his career he was employed by many rock quarries where he was a supervisor and crane operator. Mr. Dove retired from the quarry in 2018. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening, especially cutting grass, and spending time with his grandbabies, as he referred to them. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin and David Dove.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Ann Moore Dove; a son, Daniel Lem Dove and wife, Kim of Byron, Georgia; a daughter, Donna Lynn Lota and husband, Jon of Tignall, Georgia; two brothers, Charles Ray Dove and wife, Tinnie  and William Franklin Dove and wife, Minnie Pearl all of Tignall; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Adeline Lota.
