Karen Simpson, 63, Grovetown, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on April 14, 2022.
Karen was born in Thomson, Georgia on July 22, 1958, grew up in Harlem, Georgia, graduated from Rabun Gap Nacoochee High School and lived most of her in Harlem, Georgia. She worked with the Columbia County Health Department for twelve years and retired after 20 years of service with the City of Grovetown, Georgia. Karen was Christian by faith and a member of Harlem United Methodist Church for many years and was a member of the Church Choir. Karen enjoyed singing, cooking, taking care of babies and was the best devoted “K K” ever. She never met a stranger, was very generous and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Barrett Meldeau Edmunds and Audrey Baggett Edmunds. Her survivors include her husband, Scot Simpson; her children, Heather Cummings, Robby Cummings (Karen), Scot Simpson (Kirstie) and Jordon Simpson; her twin sister, Angie Edmunds Johnson (Jay); her brothers, Don Edmunds and Trent Edmunds; her grandchildren, Nathan, Ashlee, and Lucy; her nieces and nephews, Marquette, Micheal, April, Steven, Scott, James, Dallas, Whitney, Kaitlyn, Mary and Daniel; 14 great nieces and nephews and very close extended family Stephanie Carter, John, Alexis, Kaylee Ann and Cameron.
Her Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, and her Funeral Service, being officiated by Rev. Daniel Adkins, will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia. Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.

Friends will be received anytime and after the service at the home of Jay and Angie Johnson, 708 Sawdust Road, Harlem, Georgia.
