Ms. Joy Clark, 53 of Lincolnton entered into rest on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center, Augusta.
Joy was born in Washington, Ga. on March 30, 1968. She grew up in Lincolnton, graduated from LCHS in 1986 and more recently was employed by Family Dollar as an assistant manager. To those of us that knew her well, she was the most loving and caring person that we have ever known. Through her many years as a retail clerk here in Lincoln County, she had made many friends and acquaintances and was known for her big smile and helpfulness where she worked. She loved everyone and everyone loved her!
She will be greatly missed by her companion, John Chastain; brothers, Johnny Freeland of Lincolnton and Bruce Freeland and wife Shelia of Elberton; classmate and best friend, Ida James Newman; aunts, Mary Dill of Lincolnton, Jean Brown and husband Woodrow of Lincolnton and Mae Lumpkin of California; uncle, Frank Freeland and wife Catherine; nephews, Bruce Freeland, Jr. and Jason Scales. Her parents, John and Minnie Freeland Clark preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 6pm at New Hope Baptist Cemetery, Lincolnton.
Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton is honored to serve the family of Ms. Joy Clark.
