Mr. Joseph Earl Butts, 40, of Graniteville, South Carolina, entered into rest on May 31, 2021. Mr. Butts was born in Great Bend, Kansas on August 22, 1980. His family moved to Lincolnton, Georgia in 1991 and that is where he was raised. As a young adult, he lived in Athens for a while and then back to Lincolnton and eventually to Graniteville. He was the son of the Donna Butts and the late Wayne A. Butts. He worked as an ASC certified mechanic. He was an extremely talented artist, liked gardening, fishing, the outdoors and loved his family and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn June Butts, his father, Wayne A. Butts and his youngest brother, Gavin W. Butts. His survivors include his girlfriend, Lynn and her son Nathan; his mother, Donna R. Butts, his son, Alexander S. Butts, one sister, Cassandra J. Jowers and two brothers; Jerry L. Armstrong & Christopher A. Butts.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, Georgia with the Rev. Larron Pilgrim, officiating. The family request guests to meet at Beggs Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. to join the procession to the gravesite. The family also requests dress be casual, according to the deceased wishes.
