John William Weathersbee III

Woodstock, Georgia – Mr. John William Weathersbee III., 97, entered into rest June 9, 2020.

Mr. Weathersbee was born in Graniteville, SC, the son of the late John W. Weathersbee, Jr. and the late Lucille McCary Weathersbee. He was a U.S. Navy Radioman during World War II and served in the South Pacific. Mr. Weathersbee worked in the consumer finance industry for 42 years and retired as a Regional Vice President for Great Western. He was a generous man who loved music, especially big band and gospel, and enjoyed traveling, working in the yard and being outdoors. Mr. Weathersbee was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock, GA, a devoted family man, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Weathersbee was predeceased by his beloved wife, Bernice Reese Weathersbee and brother, Charles Raymond Weathersbee.

Survivors include daughters, Carolyn Tosso Weathersbee of Woodstock, GA and Patricia Ann Weathersbee of Poland; grandchildren, John Randall Tosso and Matthew Aaron Tosso, his wife Robin, and great grandchildren, Bailey Tosso and Noah Tosso.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2020 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ken Smith officiating. CDC guidelines, including social distancing, will be observed.  Interment will follow in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Promise of Woodstock First Baptist Church https://firstbaptistwoodstock.givingfuel.com/kingdom-giving  Select Faith Promise/missions.
