John Ernest Carr

Mr. John E. Carr, 80 of McCormick, South Carolina entered into rest on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his residence.

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11a.m. at The Lutheran Church By The Lake, McCormick.

Mr. Carr, born on October 18, 1938 in New York City to the late John D. and  Mildred Billouin Carr. He served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1960. Following his military service, he worked as government subcontractor in various capacities for Lockheed, Radiation, Harris Corporation, DBA Systems and Intergraph Corporation and later retired as a senior manager. Since living at Savannah Lakes Village, he has been a member of the Lutheran Church By The Lake. His interests included boating, reading, tennis, golf, listening to music and entertaining his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Louise Hull Carr; children, Debbie Bistarkey and husband David, Christine Hackford and husband Joe and John David Carr and wife Donna; grandchildren, Jason Bistarkey, Jennifer Moran and husband Jason, Lindsey Zabriskie and husband Neil, Ashleigh Hackford, Branden Hackford and wife Amanda, Alex and Taryn Aebli; great grandchildren, Blane Moran, Bryce Moran, Kayla Hackford, Cody Hackford, and Capri Zabriskie.
