Jimmy K. Bohler
Thomson, GA- Mr. Jimmy K. Bohler, 66, of Cobbham Road, beloved husband of Jan Bohler, entered into rest June 19, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Bohler, a lifelong resident of the Cobbham Community of McDuffie County, was the son of the late James Meva Bohler and Lodenia “Deanie” Watson Bohler. Jimmy was retired from Georgia Iron Works as a Crane Operator. He was passionate about playing Santa Claus at Christmas for children and the elderly in the nursing homes. Mr. Bohler was a member of Second Chance Independent Church, attended Antioch Christian and Second Baptist Church, and served as Chaplain for the 10th Georgia Reenactment Group. He loved his grandchildren and his telephone and nursing home ministries. You could often find Jimmy at Town and Country Packing where he spent a lot of time visiting his extended family and friends. Jimmy was predeceased by a granddaughter, Natalie Bohler.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, are four sons, Russell Wayne Bohler, Appling, Bryan Bohler, Thomson, Michael Wilkerson (Dawn), Dearing, and Phillip Bohler; daughter, Jennifer Wilkerson Padgett (Timmy), Warrenton; daughter-in-law, Ruby Bohler Davis, brother, Gary Bohler, Thomson; sister, Janice Bohler McComb (Chuck), Canton; grandchildren, Travis Padgett, Shellby Bohler, James Russell Bohler, Dallas Keith Bohler, Hailey Battle, Devin Bohler, Skylar Bohler and Nathaniel Davis; great-grandchildren, Archer Sarah Battle and Maddox Bohler; special friends, Lamar and Carol Ennis, Kelly and Marcie Guy, Steve and Angie Reese, and the whole Town and Country Family.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 27th in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Reese officiating.
Friends may gather at the residence of Russell Bohler, 2640 Panda Lane Appling, Georgia or following the service.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hands of Grace Hospice, especially Brenda Haislip and Shayla Avery, for their loving care during Mr. Bohler’s illness.
