Mr. Jessie Harlan Ritchie, 79 formerly of Toccoa entered into rest on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Lake Crossing Health Care.
Jessie, son of the late Dillard Evie and Lougean Cornn Ritchie was born in Clayton, Ga. on Aril 7, 1943.He graduated from Rabun County High School in 1962 and was later certified in auto body mechanics from North Georgia Technical College. Mr. Ritchie served his country in the U S Army during Vietnam in Germany.
He lived in Toccoa, Ga. most of his life where he was employed by Toccoa Steel Foundry as a welder and a mechanic. Jessie enjoyed restoring old cars, attending car shows, fishing and loved his cowboy boots. Along with his parents, Jessie was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Miller and Wayne Ritchie.
Survivors include his daughters, Sherrye Denard, Tignall and Debbie Uskiewez, Mountain City; son, Randy Edmonson, Washington; brothers, Darrell Ritchie, Douglasville and Tony Ritchie, Toccoa; sisters, Gail Parker, Maysville, and Linda Harrell, Toccoa; grandchildren, Matthew Wilson, Rhett Denard, Grant Denard, Kayla Nalley, and Jason Whitlock, and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Beggs Funeral Home Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
