Mr. Jeffrey “Jeffro” Patrick Andrew Vermette, 72, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on October 9, 2021.
Jeffrey was born in Washington, D.C. on January 22, 1949, lived and grew up there, was a mail clerk for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon for 25 years and moved to Thomson, Georgia after his retirement. He loved people, was very humble and loved animals, especially cats. He enjoyed poker, playing horseshoes, listening to oldies music, spoke fluent Spanish, knew sign language, and was very intelligent. Jeffro was a member of the Nations Capital Area Bowling Association, loved sports and especially loved the Dallas Cowboys. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed family reunions.
Mr. Vermette is preceded in death by his father and mother, Ellis Leon Vermette and Daphne Richards and his adoptive Dad, Bob Robinson “Pops”. His survivors include his, adoptive mother, Beth Robinson; his brother, Chris Robinson (Janet); his sisters, Mary “Missy” Watkins, Donna McCully (Ed) and Lori Kalcheff (George); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home. His Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia. Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
