Jeanette Dye Downs, 89, Lincolnton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on April 18, 2022.
Jeanette was born in Warrenton, Georgia on January 18, 1933, grew up in Warren County, Georgia, attended Warren County High School and lived most of her life in Lincolnton, Georgia. She was Baptist by faith and attended Mill Creek Baptist Church. Jeanette enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, flower gardening and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Dye and Carrie Newsome Dye; her husband, Richard “Billy” Downs; her brothers, Elton Dye, Bernard Dye, Robert Dye and William Dye; and her sister, Elaine Inglett. Her survivors include her brothers, Roy Dye (Gail) of Thomson, Georgia, David Dye (Faye) of Stapleton, Georgia and Edmond Dye, Jr. of Warrenton, Georgia; her sister, Roberta Mays (Joe); her sister-in-law Linda Dye and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
Her Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Beggs Funeral Home, and her Funeral Service, being officiated by Rev. Chad Widener, will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia with the interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
