Janet Bunch passed away peacefully at her home on October 12, 2023. Born on December 17, 1964, in Washington, Georgia, Janet was the daughter of George Allen and Wilma Henderson Bunch.
Janet was a member of the First Methodist Church in Washington, and in recent years, she attended Hephzibah Baptist Church.
Over the years, Janet amassed a remarkable collection of memorabilia that included eggs, Barbie dolls, Elvis dolls, I Love Lucy dolls, and dolls of various movie stars. Her fondness for festive decorations extended to every holiday, with Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Thanksgiving each having their own special place in her heart. Janet's gnome and egg collections, along with her thousands of candles and vases, were a testament to her love for unique and beautiful things. In addition to her love for travel and food, Janet had a special place in her heart for animals.
Janet's creativity shone through in her holiday decorations and gift-wrapping. She had a unique style that was unmistakably hers and her gift-wrapping was a work of art.
Janet was predeceased by her parents, George Allen and Wilma Henderson Bunch, and her sister, Patti Bunch Lindsey. She is survived by her brother, William Allen Bunch and his wife, Betty Sue; her brother-in-law, Ronny Lindsey and his wife, Liz; her nieces, Elli Niezen and her husband, Michael, and Jenny Lindsey-Callaway and her husband, Brandon; her nephew, Jacob Lindsey and his wife, Martina; and her great-nieces, Nora Lindsey and Cora Callaway.
A funeral service to celebrate Janet's life will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 2pm at Midway Methodist Church. Rev. Randy Dunaway will officiate the service.
Janet's life was a testament to her kindness, her love for her family and friends, and her faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
