Mr. James A. “Mac” McAlister, 72, of Leslie Street, Thomson, GA entered into eternal rest May 2, 2022 at his residence.
James was a born in Santa Clara, California. He served in the U. S. Army for 13 years, was a truck driver for Advance Auto Parts and McCorkle Nurseries for many years and was a volunteer for Manna. He had a passion for music, motorcycles and loved collecting Eagle Memorabilia. James was a Christian by faith and a member of the Thomson Church of God.
James was preceded in death by his parents John McAlister and Florence Smith McAlister and his sister, Betty King. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna Russell McAlister; his sons, Dennis “Mac” McAlister (Gail) of Thomson, Georgia and John McAlister (Valerie) of Washington State; his daughters, Julie Nagel (John) of California and Beverly Webb (Dave) of Winter Haven, Florida; his brothers, Bob Barker of California and Charles McAlister of California; his sisters Dorothy Padlina of California and Barbara Massinter of Oregon; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., May 7, 2022 at Thomson Church of God with Rev. Bobby Farmer. The family will receive friends following the service.
