Mr. James Carpenter “Jimmie” Justice, Jr., 79 of Ferguson Justice Rd., Lincolnton entered into rest on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Lake Crossing Health Care, Appling.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11am at Loco Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Justice, son of the late James C. and Jane Bentley Justice was born on December 31, 1941 in Wilkes County. He grew up in the Loco Community of Lincoln County and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1959. From 1961 until 1973, he was a ranger for the US Forestry Service at SRS. Afterwards, he worked with his father as a carpenter for a few many years, maintenance at Crider’s, Jailer for Lincoln County Sheriff’s Dept. and more recently as Maintenance Supervisor for Lincoln County Courthouse and other county buildings.
He had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anywhere that he could. To list a few, they include Lincoln County Board Commissioner District #3, Justice of Peace, Charter member and first Chief of Loco Volunteer Fire Dept. which he had a big part in helping establish and build, Boy Scout Master of Loco Troop #172, and St Paul United Methodist Church as Sunday School teacher, Chairman of Board of Trustees and Methodist Recreation Chairman.
He is survived by his daughter, Ginger Standard and husband Tim of Danburg; sons, James C. “Jim” Justice, Jr. and wife Debbie of Appling, Mark Justice and wife Roxane of Washington, Steve Justice and wife Darla of Lincolnton; brother, Larry Justice of Lincolnton; 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Loco Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or Loco Volunteer Fire Dept.
