McDuffie County
“Jace” Dalton Simmons, 12, Thomson, Georgia, went on before us into eternal rest on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
He graced this world on July 2, 2011, and McDuffie County was always his home. Jace loved playing baseball and was SAVAGE at it! He was passionate about his Braves, his Bulldogs and going to the beach. He was ALL BOY and enjoyed EVERYTHING outdoors. His greatest joys were riding 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, horses and going fishing with his brothers and sisters. He was most happy when he was making others laugh.
Jace is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Pearson and his paternal grandfather, James Simmons. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Samantha Key and Justin Simmons (Jamie); his maternal great grandparents, Randy Pearson, Billy Hollis and Rosie Hollis; his maternal grandparents, Mike Key and Jan Key; his paternal grandparent, Vicki Caldwell; his brothers, Collin Simmons, Wyatt Simmons, Jax Price, Cash Simmons, Chevy Key and Gunner Key; his sisters, Chapel Simmons, Kenzleigh Poss and Emmie Key; his Aunt Amanda Newsome (Scotty); Uncle Tyler Key (Kendyl) and many cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia.
