Ione Joy Cunningham

Mrs. Ione Feight Cunningham, 89 of Lincoln Ave., Lincolnton entered into rest on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at her residence.

A graveside service with family only will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lincolnton City Cemetery with Revs. Randy Kanipe and Paul C. Reviere officiating. Live streaming can be viewed on the Beggs Funeral Home Facebook page.

Mrs. Cunningham, daughter of the late Lynn and Loretta Pratt Feight, was born in Crandon, WI. on May 31, 1930.  She had lived in Sturtevant, WI for many years where she had served as the head baker for the Racine County School System. Over 46 years ago, she moved to Lincolnton and retired from Mayfair Mills as a machine operator. Her pastimes included raising flowers, gardening and crocheting, and baking. Her delicious cakes were a favorite of many locals. Also, she enjoyed travelling and especially loved the beach. In years past, when her health permitted, she attended Bethany United Methodist Church and Loco Baptist Church.  Her husband, Billy Cunningham and sister, Verna Drury preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons, Butch Cunningham and wife Denise, Bob Cunningham and wife Judy; daughters, Debbra Reed and husband Steven and Donna C. Wilson all of Lincolnton; sisters, Georgine Cundiff  and Cleo Pitts both of Crandon, WI,  Mimi Chestnutt of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Tyson Cunningham, Jourdan Taylor, Anna Rose Cunningham, Dalton Reed, Garret Reed, Stephanie Partridge, Matthew Kirkland and Whitney Rogers; great- grandchildren, Dylan Taylor, Okelin Taylor, Fortson Partridge and Will Partridge.
