Mrs. Hilda Gunter Sandifer, 82, of Washington, Georgia went to her final resting place on February 18, 2021.
Hilda, daughter of the late the late Thomas and Hattie Lou Gunter was born on September 12, 1938. She grew up in Elbert County but lived most of her life in Washington where she raised her family and worked in the textile industry. Fondest memories of Hilda include fun times with family and friends at Pine Point Camping Club at Clay Hill.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and late husband, Henry C. Sandifer. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Sandifer Pullen of Washington; her son, Gene Sandifer and wife Florence of Washington; four grandchildren, Karmen Moon and husband John of Washington, Brad Sandifer and wife Amanda of Lincolnton, Douglas Pullen and wife Natalieof Washington, Caylor Sandifer of Atlanta; and nine great- grandchildren, Samuel, Hannah Grace, Charlie Mae, and Lilly Katherine Moon of Washington, Whit and Wes Sandifer of Lincolnton, and Talon, Tinsley, and Carter Pullen of Washington.
Due to the current national health concern, the family will not be receiving guests at the home and only a private family service will be held. Phone calls, cards, texts, and e-mails are welcomed.
