Obituary

Glenn Eric Beasley, a loving husband, father, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023, in Lincoln County, Georgia. Born on May 24, 1961, in Augusta, Georgia, Glenn was a passionate, kind, and handy individual who made a lasting impact on everyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Diane Kinsey Beasley, sons Eric and Kevin Beasley, and sister Terry B. Fowler. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marion Toole Beasley and siblings, Connie Wilson, Chuck Beasley, and Pam Cottington. He also recently lost his beloved 15-year-old poodle, Lacy.

Glenn graduated from Butler High School in 1978 and began his career with Metric Contracting. He later worked for McKnight Construction and Cullum Contractors, where he managed and supervised numerous government building projects, including the commissary and barracks at Ft. Gordon, Ft. Stewart, and Clemson University Library. In recent years he had been employed by Strictly Mechanical and was currently employed by TDX at Ft. Stewart. Glenn's dedication to his work led him to be highly sought after as new projects began, and he took great pride in the buildings he helped create.

Throughout his life, Glenn was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He lived in South Augusta and Martinez for most of his life before moving to Broad River to enjoy the beauty of the lake. Glenn was passionate about deer and bird hunting, and he had some impressive trophy mounts as a testament to his skill. He loved bass and crappie fishing from his dock, and he was a diehard University of Georgia football fan.

Glenn's love for his family was evident in everything he did. He always made time to attend his sons' sporting events and volunteered as a coach for many years when his sons played recreational baseball. Glenn was known for his ability to fix anything and was always tinkering on projects at home. His wife, Diane, kept him busy with various tasks around the house, and he was always happy to lend a hand.

When Diane decided to purchase a miniature horse named Rayne, Glenn drove all the way to Missouri to pick her up, demonstrating his love and dedication to his family. Glenn's kind and passionate nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

At Glenn's request, his body will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life and the countless memories he leaves behind. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Glenn's memory to a charity of one's choice.
