Crawfordville, GA – Mr. George Cohen Wright, 97, entered into rest September 20, 2019.

Mr. Wright, a native of Taliaferro County, was the son of the late Thomas Smith Wright and the late Sarah Katherine Gregory Wright.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a 75 consecutive year member of the American Legion.  Mr. Wright retired from Royal Manufacturing Company as a sewing machine mechanic and was a member of Jennings Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. 

Survivors include his beloved wife, Minnie Johnson Wright; daughters, Faye W. Ott of Lawrenceville, GA and Kathy W. Groseclose (David) of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Bryan D. Ott and Graham Groseclose (Hannah); and great grandchildren, Sidney Ott and Tate Groseclose.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Jennings Baptist Church with Rev. John Autry officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., Sunday prior to the service at the church.
