Frances Axon Gilmer

Mrs. Frances Axon Gilmer, 74, Warrenton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on October 10, 2021.

Frances was born in McDuffie County, Georgia on April 17, 1947, lived and grew up there, and she and her husband moved to Warrenton, Georgia in 1969.  She worked at Dwight Eisenhower Hospital, Fort Gordon in civil service and retired from there.  Frances loved gardening, working with flowers, loved talking to people, loved her friends and family and especially loved her granddaughter.

Mrs. Gilmer is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Axon and Sue Whitaker Duckworth and her sister, Dorothy Boyd.  Her survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Darwin Gilmer; her son, Joey Gilmer (Kim); her grandchild, Cady Leeann Wise (Matt) and her great grandchild, Owen Wise.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Brier Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Warrenton, Georgia with Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
