Dorothy Faye Harrison, 73, Matthews, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on November 15, 2021.

Dorothy was born in Washington, Georgia on July 12, 1948, moved to Matthews about three years ago and most recently, prior to that, she had lived in Gibson, Georgia.  She worked with the Thomson Company for many years.  Ms. Harrison enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds and loving on her cats and dogs.  She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Gilmer and Mary Smith Gilmer; and her brothers, Pete Gilmer, Maynor Gilmer, J.D. Gilmer, Bobby Gilmer and Marvin Gilmer.  Her survivors include her, son, William Rogers (Stephanie); her brothers, Dave Gilmer and Darwin Gilmer; and her grandchildren, Payton Rogers, Dillon Rogers and Levi Rogers.

Her graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Brier Creek Church Cemetery, Warrenton, Georgia.  Rev. Mike Sutphin will be officiating.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
