Dawn “Nicole” Evans, 41, of Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Nicole grew up in Thomson, Georgia and lived in McDuffie County most of her life. She graduated from Thomson High School, earned a Surgical Tech Degree from Augusta Tech and an Associate’s Degree from GMC in Office Management, Science and PreNursing. Her latest employment was with Watson & Knox with insurance and claims until this past September. Nicole loved country music, especially anything by Morgan Wallen, she liked dancing, was always smiling, laughing and her favorite quote was “One Love”. She loved eating her entire plate and everyone’s leftovers. She liked tie dying, spending time at the beach, the pool and the lake, hanging out with her “BFF”, Holley, spending time with family and friends and adored spending time with her daughter, Marley, her husband Michael and her beloved dog “Doc”.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald Usry, Evyon Cox, Lindsey Howard and Carol Beggs. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Marley Evans; her husband, Michael Evans; her mother, Lisa Banister, her dad, John Banister “JB” (who has always been there for her); her father, Jimmy Howard; her mother-in-law, Frances Ann Evans; her father-in-law, Mike Evans (Pam); her sisters, Holley Banister and Camille Howard; her brother-in-law, Daniel Evans; her grandparents, Grady Banister, Nadean Banister and Sybil Usry and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her visitation will be held in the Sanctuary at Thomson First United Methodist Church, 353 Main Street, Thomson, Georgia 30824, on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., being officiated by Rev. Alan Smith with the interment at Westview Cemetery, Thomson, Georgia. The Pallbearers for the service are Andy Knox, Jr., Cully Poston, Jack Cheatham, Walker Hopkins, John McCorkle, Davis Newton, Fifth Newton and Cory Norris.
