Cheryl Adkins,  age 55 , of Covington, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on August 11, 2023.

Cheryl was born and lived most of her life in Thomson.  She graduated from Thomson High School and Phillips Junior College. For several years,  she drove a school bus for the McDuffie County Board of Education. 

Cheryl loved to sing gospel music, talk and laugh.  She loved her family and her “fur” babies.  She was a member of the Old Frontier.  As an only child,  she had cousins that were her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Ruth Adkins, her grandparents, Sherron and Elizabeth Adkins and Garnett and Marcia Weaver.

Survivors include her cousin “brother”, William Murphy, aunts, uncles, and cousins;  and her special friend, Kenny Smith.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at  Beggs Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Ga., with the Reverend Rodney Dunaway officiating.  Interment will follow in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, Ga.
