Lynn Black
Gibson, GA – Mr. Charles Lindbergh “Lynn” Black, Jr., 65, entered into rest August 27, 2020 at Orchard Manor.
Lynn was born in Thomson, GA to the late Charles Lindbergh Black, Sr. and the late Mattie Will Irby Black. He lived in North Carolina until age 12 and then the Atlanta area for many years. As a teenager Lynn had a great interest for airplanes and trained as a beginner pilot. He also enjoyed traveling. Lynn worked in warehousing and retired early due to health conditions. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to his parents, Lynn was predeceased by his wife, Brenda Taylor Black and son, James Patrick “Jimmy” Black.
Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Lee Black of Thomson,GA, Katherine Jennifer Taylor of Augusta, GA; brother, David Black (Denise) of Atlanta, GA; sister, Temple Walling (Mark) of Sparta, GA; and grandchild, JJ Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2020 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Gibson Branch Cemetery in the Edgehill Community of Glascock County, GA.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
