Mrs. Carolyn Bryan Bannister, 67 of Mercier Rd., Lincolnton, Ga. entered into rest on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Bannister, daughter of the late Sellers and Frances Norman Bryan was born in Lincoln County on October 11, 1953. She graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1971 and worked in banking for many years beginning with First Savings which was later Regions as a loan officer assistant. Later, she was employed by F&M Bank for over 16 years as a teller. She was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church and had attended Fishing Creek Baptist Church and Bethany United Methodist Church in the past. Carolyn loved all of her family very much and absolutely adored her grandchildren. She spent many hours in the stands supporting them at their many sporting activities. Also, she enjoyed working in her yard and a freshly cut lawn..
She will be greatly missed by her two sons, Bryan Guin and wife Beth of Washington, Travis Guin and wife Emily of Tignall; brothers, Tony Bryan and wife Kay, Wyatt Bryan and wife Vicky, and Glenn Bryan and wife Christie; sisters, Annette Johnson and husband Ronnie and Eva Clary all of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Will Guin, Taylor Guin, Holden Guin, Hadley Guin, Will Lamar, Morgan Lamar, Blake Lamar, and John Walker Norman; former daughter-in-law, Kathy “Kate” Guin; special friend, Bobby Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bannister and her daughter Trina Renee Guin.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 6pm at Fishing Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 6pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
