Billy Tucker

Mr. Billy Aldred Tucker, 75, entered into rest March 19, 2018.

Mr. Tucker was a lifelong resident of Norwood, Georgia and the son of the late William Edwin Tucker, Sr. and the late Mary Ann Dye Tucker. He was a 1960 graduate of Warrenton High School. Mr. Tucker was employed for 21 years at Samuels Truck Stop and retired as the accountant for VP Racing Fuel. He was a faithful member of Norwood Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacons and as the pianist for 52 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tucker was predeceased by his brother, Joe Tucker, and brother-in-law, Jack Edmunds.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Becky Edmunds Tucker; sons, Randy Tucker (Lori) of Evans, GA, Rod Tucker (Anne) of Appling, GA, and Stacy Tucker (Leslie) of Norwood, GA; daughter, Meg Williams (Steven) of Avera, GA; brother, Buddy Tucker, Jr. (Reba) of Norwood, GA; sister, Rebecca Wren of Martinez, GA; sisters-in-law, Jane Edmunds, and Kaye Howard; 7 grandchildren, Will Tucker, Logan Tucker, Susie Williams, Lucy Williams, Tucker Williams, Caroline Tucker, and Lillie Streets; and special family friend, Beth Hinman.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018 at Norwood Baptist Church with Reverends Frank Thigpen, Tommy Harwell, and Don Bazal officiating. Interment will follow in Scruggs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their residence “Whetstone”, 849 Tucker Rd., Norwood, GA from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018.
