Mrs. Betty Jean Goldman Davis, 78, Thomson, Georgia, entered into rest on August 17, 2021.
Mrs. Davis was born in Lincolnton, Georgia on March 20, 1943, grew up in Lincoln County and moved to Thomson, Georgia in the early 1960s. She was the daughter of the late Owens Goldman and Genell Goldman. Betty retired from working many years at The McDuffie Progress and WTHO. She was a devout Christian and dearly loved her Lord and Savior. Betty loved to crochet, loved reading and collecting books, loved word seek, was very social and loved people and especially loved her family and friends.
Mrs. Betty Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Owens and Genell Goldman and her husband, Wendell Davis. Her survivors include her daughter, Vonnie Deak of Augusta, Georgia; her sister/cousin, Linda Jurney of Martinez, Georgia; her grandchildren, Ashley Hammac (Christopher) of Dearing, Georgia; Antonio Andrini, Andre’Andrini, and Angelo Andrini all of Colorado, and Anna Maria Bilbo (Brian) of Charleston, South Carolina; and her great grandchildren, Mehaylia Hammac, Alivia Hammac, Sophya Hammac, Logan Victoria Bilbo, Weston Davis Bilbo and Leon Michael Andrini.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour before the service, and a private interment will be held at a later date at Jones Chapel, Lincolnton, Georgia.
