Barton "Bart" John Ficzere

Barton John Ficzere, 59, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2023.

Bart was born in Chicopee, Massachusetts on July 29, 1963, grew up in Enfield, New Hampshire, lived most of his adult life in Georgia and moved to Thomson, Georgia 20 years ago.  He served his Country in the Coast Guard for a number of years and was employed with Pollock Office Machines as a machine technician.  Bart enjoyed living at the lake and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, was a musician, wonderful pianist and guitarist and served as sound technician at Sharon Baptist.  Bart was a loving husband, and father.

Bart was preceded in death by his parents, John Barton Ficzere and Norma Jean Post Ficzere; the widower, of Sandra Ficzere “first love” and Father-in-Law, Walter McDowell, Jr.  His survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Melissa Ficzere “forever love”; his stepmom, Mary Ficzere; his sons, Jared Ficzere (D’vosha) and Joshua Ficzere; his mother-in-law, Mary Higginbotham; his brother, Joe Ficzere (Cathy) and his daughter Bailee Ficzere and stepson, Joseph Turner and grandchildren Ethan Martin and Dylan Ficzere.

Visitation will be held at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  His memorial service will be held at Sharon Baptist Church, 6262 Cobbham Road, Appling, Georgia 30802, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
